Hi there
I live in a house which i rent off my father in-law and i want to look at buying it off him. I've had the house valued and it is worth around 250k, after getting some mortgage quotes i can't get the full amount i need. My idea is to offer a sum of 150k and pay the remainder off in installments in an allotted time. My questions are would i need an estate agent, sollicitors, surveys for a mortgage and can anybody see any problems with my idea.
